John has been in real estate brokerage since 2020 and joined Commercial Realty Advisors NW in 2025, building on a career in restaurant operations and culinary management. He spent ten years with KFC (Yum Brands), where he served as Director of Operations for a franchise, before owning and operating two bakery cafés for five years. After relocating to Portland to refine his culinary skills at the Robert Reynolds Chef Studio, he went on to serve as an Executive Chef and launch fine-dining concepts, gaining valuable operational insight in both independent and high-volume restaurant settings.
This combination of corporate leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and hospitality expertise gives John a unique perspective when guiding clients. He works with a range of stakeholders, including institutional landlords and local and regional tenants, helping them navigate lease negotiations, site selection, and long-term operational strategies. John remains actively involved in the industry through his participation on the Portland State University Real Estate Alumni Advisory Board, as well as his membership in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), staying current with emerging trends and best practices.
